One Nine Elms

The upcoming completion of our biggest ever project will see us supply nearly 6000 custom-made doors to a new luxury development in London.

City Tower, One Nine Elms is transforming the London skyline with the tallest residential towers in Europe. The regeneration project has two landmark residential towers linked together with a glazed bridge. On completion the development will provide more than 730,000 sq ft of residential apartments and 267,000 sq ft of five-star hotel accommodation.

With all production taking place at our headquarters in North Devon, the bespoke doors have been designed, configured, and tested to achieve 30- and 60-minutes fire resistance through a third party (Warrington Fire). The doors have also been 3rd party smoke accredited and PAS24 enhanced security testing, with all passing.

The apartment entrance doorsets were designed and constructed as a primary leaf and a fixed half. The primary leaf has bronze linier inlays in their faces running top to bottom with the ironmongery machined and to match the bronze inlay for a stunning visual aesthetic.

“This project has been really exciting for us and as always, we have worked with the customer from their initial enquiry through to delivery and their installation. For this project, the customer needed us to deliver to London using a FORS carrier and on specific pallets to ensure the product was handled and kept safe and secure. To meet the customer’s needs we developed a special pallet system to accommodate multi frames and doors in “sets”, so that we could present the product in bulk, without damage, to plan and on time in full.”

The range of exquisite doorsets in One Nine Elm range from pairs of doors, single, sliding and fully glazed.
