As the UK’s Premier Doorset manufacturer, we are constantly working to provide the very best quality products and service to our customers. Behind the scenes, our incredible teams here in North Devon work tirelessly to ensure we can do just that.
We have recently completed a fire, enhanced security, and smoke test project in which our doors exceeded the required time for fire resistance. Our 30-minute doors lasted a tremendous 54 minutes in these tests, which is fantastic and shows the levels of protection and research we give to our fire doors. This then gives real peace of mind to our customers. We tested the configuration for enhanced security, and this passed through without any issues. Starting off was smoke testing where we achieved outstanding results. This consultancy, and of managing the process to get a doorset fully third party accredited, is something we always do and are committed to, and offers our customer a fully integrated doorset.
Another success we are extremely proud of is how we completed audit season with “flying colours”. We successfully maintained ISO 9001, Q-Mark fire door manufacture and Q-Mark enhanced security doorset manufacturing, along with recertification of our commitment to FSC. In addition, our first financial audit was another success, cementing Principal Doorsets as a medium sized business.
We take great pride in reflecting on our remarkable growth and achievements. From our humble beginnings as a small, partnership-owned business, in 2016, we have emerged as a leading supplier of bespoke timber doorsets.
Our investment within our site here in Barnstaple continues. Plans approved for a new building to aid our expansion and the new roof is complete, with solar panels well underway – watch this space.
It’s not just the growth of our building that we are investing in. We recently celebrated two additions to our senior management team with Nigel and Neil. We are thrilled to further announce the expansion of our lead project coordinator team, marking another milestone in our commitment to our exceptional staff. Our talented professionals share our unwavering passion for delivering superior products, and it is their dedication that has propelled our business forward over the past nine years.
To accommodate our continued growth, we have internally promoted two outstanding individuals who have proven their expertise and commitment to excellence. We warmly welcome John Freeman and Adam Grantham to our project team, where their unique skills and experience will contribute to our operations and ambitious growth objectives.
John, promoted to the role of project coordinator, is a highly experienced CNC programmer and setter and brings a wealth of manufacturing knowledge to our commercial team. His considerable experience in doorset manufacturing along with his expertise will help us optimise operations, manufacturing, purchasing, and enhance productivity, aligning perfectly with our growth aspirations.
Meanwhile, Adam, a qualified joiner by trade and a seasoned CNC setter, has been promoted to the role of project coordinator, a testament to his hard work and unwavering dedication. He will undergo training to ensure our products are detailed with the utmost quality and efficiency.
Together with Adam C, Aaron, and Ian, who have been instrumental in our project coordination efforts at our Barnstaple site, John and Adam form a formidable team that further strengthens our capabilities and capacity.
