A landmark project: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

One of our most notable recent projects is the BEACH building at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. This state-of-the-art development—focused on Births, Emergency, And Critical care, and Children’s Health—has been described as a ‘once in a generation opportunity’ to transform healthcare facilities.

For this project, we supplied an impressive 1,130 doorsets, including 1,054 standard and fire-rated doorsets, as well as 76 pairs of doors. These ranged from non-fire-rated options to FD120 doorsets, meeting the stringent safety and hygiene requirements of a modern healthcare facility.

Our doors featured laminate facades, with some incorporating additional PVC edge protection and others designed with a discreet lip detail. We also provided various glazing options, including flush panel designs that minimise dust and germ accumulation, and flush beading that ensures a seamless surface—helping maintain the highest levels of hygiene and durability.

Working in collaboration with RLM Architects, IHP contractors, and Ridon Joinery, our approach ensured clear communication and technical support throughout the process. By closely aligning with the teams responsible for installation, we provided the necessary expertise to ensure our doorsets performed exactly as intended.
