Here at Principal Doorsets we care about our planet and the communities that we live in. That’s why we are taking our environmental message from within the business out into the community with a beach cleaning event.

Taking place on Sunday 21st April at Instow Beach from 11am – 1pm the beach clean is being organised by a group of our employees in partnership with Plastic Free North Devon.

Sarah Voice is one of the employees who is organising the event. Sarah explaines,

We are lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world with an abundance of coastline and wonderful beaches. Litter on our beaches can harm marine life, damage important ecosystems and cause pollution. Principal Doorsets are committed to doing our very best to protect our planet and the environments where we live, and this is a philosophy that runs throughout the business and its employees.

“This voluntary beach clean day is a great way for us to contribute to the protection of our precious coastline whilst working alongside Plastic Free North Devon to raise awareness and education on how to minimise waste and adopt more sustainable practices in our day-to-day lives.” Sarah adds.

Stan Bond, Director, says, “We would love to get as many people involved with this wonderful event as possible. I’d like to offer a big thank you to Sarah, Jodie Bowden and Neil Batty who are organising the event. We all live and work here in North Devon and want to do our bit to help our local communities. These small and practical steps can make real positive environmental changes.”

Anyone wishing to help the beach clean should meet at the Glorious Oyster (by the entrance to Sandhill Car Park) at 11am on Sunday 21st April. Families and groups are welcome and there will be free refreshments for anyone taking part. Free parking, litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided.
