The Abraham Cowley Unit at St Peter’s Hospital is being redeveloped into Silverwood, a modern 64-bed mental health inpatient facility designed to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive environment. The new centre will feature ensuite bedrooms, communal areas, assisted bathrooms, therapeutic gardens, woodland walks, and four purpose-built wards with dedicated therapy, activity, and sensory spaces, each with direct outdoor access. Focused on dignity, safety, and holistic recovery, the project aims to enhance the inpatient experience and strengthen integrated mental health care across Surrey and surrounding areas.
